Belleville est un quartier où la contestation prend des formes multiples. Depuis quelques années elle se focalise notamment sur la question des sans papiers, qui est actuellement en France très présente du fait de la politique d’expulsions musclées du gouvernement Sarkozy (en particulier lorsqu’ils ont tenté d’arrêter les enfants sans papiers dans les écoles ce qui a provoqué de vives réactions). Mais d’autres enjeux émergent, notamment les questions de logement. / Belleville is an area where the contestation is appearing under multiple forms. For several years, one of the focus is the « no paper » people (and especially when the police dedided to arrest « no paper » children inside the schools, which provocaded a strong reaction from the population). In France at the moment this is a very critical question because of the Sarkozy government which is having a very hard politic about this.
